Discord Server Help

We have a handful of text channels on IBRMC Discord channel. Though the channel name itself suggests what kind of message should go in it, the below ones are the most commonly used –
  1. Global Chat – For all general discussion for which you can’t find a relevant channel
  2. Technical – Anything related to technical discussions like repair, maintenance, modification, service, spares, components etc.
  3. Buy-Sell – As the name suggests, this can be used to post classified ads to buy or sell your own stuff
  4. Moto News – Post and discuss the latest news from moto works specifically on topics meant for IBR members
  5. Gallery – For posting images. Don’t SPAM, but choose the best one which you think is worthy to go on our official Instagram channel
  6. Rider-call – If you are planning for a ride and are looking for a co-rider,  you can post your plan here and invite fellow members to join. This is not part of official rides
  7. Gaming chat – If you like to play computer/console/mobile games, this is the place for you
If you are stuck somewhere and need help, you can always use the Support channel to raise a ticket

By default, the notifications setting on our IBRMC discord server is set at “Only @mention” which means that if someone call-out your name along with a message, only then a notification will appear on your mobile phone or desktop app.  However, there are specific channels on which you might need to get an instant notification.

To do that, go to the settings of the channel (tap and hold on mobile or right click on the desktop app) >> Notifications >> change it to “All Message”. This is highly recommended for Event-specific channels where chapter moderators update upcoming rides and weekly meets.
