Use a simple signature ... don't go for a fancy one... i think it will work... just like mine.

Saj bro, in the previous version of this site, we had no of pages listed along with each thread, which helped us to directly go into the page we wished to. In this version we dont have that.

Saj bro, its there when I open the thread. In the old site, if I clicked on 'view todays posts' or 'view new posts'. It used to open the newly updated threads with page nos. & we could move to required page. I see this option has moved. I click forum on top & select new posts. I get a listing but it doesn't list the no, of pages. I click on the thread & then I have to select the page. In here, we see a 'newest thread' link on left side. But it also doesn't list the page nos.

Also here when I make a post or do a reply to a thread, it takes me out of the thread, take me to a new page, saying your reply has been posted. I have to again click the newest thread to go back to the thread. In the old site, after replying, it used to take us back to the thread itself.

For the fist part.. I couldn't understand what you are referring to. I can still see all the new threads and when I click it takes me to the last post ... also i can see the page numbers at the bottom of each thread... give me a call coz i'm not able to understand ...

For the second part... you need to wait for a while... the page will automatically direct to the last post you made... though you receive a notification that post has been made, you need to wait for 2 -3 seconds and the page loads again... try it and let me know.

Sajeesh, in the old site there were 2 links 'View New posts' or 'View todays posts', when I clicked on it, it used to show me all updated posts with the page nos. Something like the oldsite.jpg that I attached herewith.

I don't see those links anywere. I think on this new site, we have a link called 'newest threads' on the left side. I can see all thread which have updates. Now I was thinking if we could get page nos , so we can directly go to a specific page. Right now, I click on newest threads & then I click a page no. I have attached the newsite.jpg.

Also for the answer you gave for second part. Its working the way you described thanks. Is there a way, you can directly jump to thread rather than wait for the page to redirect.

I got your point now.... you can achieve this by clicking each link under "Latest Active Forum Threads" that at the bottom section on main page as well as the forum page.

For the second part... that's the default feature of this site software and there's no option to disable it... though I like it coz it gives me multiple option to which page i wana go after making a post.

Dear Sajeesh,

How about the idea of making the path, for e.g. "IBR - RE and Vintage - The parking space - Website talks" appear at the bottom of the page as well. In various forums i have been over the years, the path which appears on the top when we open a particular segment of this site, does appear at the bottom too. It helps the user to quickly go back to the Home or to "Website talks" especially when they happen to scroll down the page. It reduces the burden of scrolling up Smile

Just an idea.
